Life is busy.
A couple of things going on...
A couple of things going on...
I just spent over an hour trying to post two pictures with a post with no luck. Sorry for the delay, i will began posting once Typepad cooperates with me.
I went to the doctor this week and he was not happy with me. I gained enough weight last month to feed a horse. I was not too worried about it though... i know i don't eat ice cream, baked goods, candy... i still work out 3-4 times a week. So what was it? Well, let me admit to you my addiction that started ever since i got pregnant, milk and cereal. Yes, this a bad one once i realized how much i was eating it! I eat at least two bowls for breakfast and have it at least 2 more times during the day (sometimes even 3!) as a snack. That "snack" happens to be over 1,000 calories a day! And i know, i am pregnant, i need the calcium and i need to eat more... but this extra calories does not include my other meals and splurges.
I have been packaging order like a mad woman. But i almost see the light at the end of the tunnel....
And with my new camera (yes, i finally got one!) I can show you what i've been up to.
I received lots of custom orders last week. Custom gift sets, thank you cards for a baby shower, party invitations, and a large order of birthday cards.... and of course, all the other small orders in between. But finally, it feels so good to be done!
I got accepted to one of the sweetest shows coming to the west coast: Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco! I was so afraid to open the email when i got it, but once i did, i was jumping up and down. I will be sharing a booth with Christine from Chocolate and Steel. If you have never heard of Renegade, you must! The have been having shows on the east coast (Brooklyn and Chicago) for at least 6 years now.
Its 11:55 p.m friday night and i am officially on a break. Until monday morning. My goal was to do enough work during the week so i can enjoy my weekend. Oh boy, and did i have a crazy week!
On tuesday i got to hear my little avocado's heartbeat (yes, that is what it is this week)... and Tuesday i also go to find out, after so many hearts and sales... i go featured on Decor8! I am so thankful for free publicity :D I had already been super busy before that... i dont know, maybe because tax season is over? Well, but by Tuesday, i got even busier, with tons of sales pouring in. Again, so thankful.
And now i am beat. I was getting up at 6:30 a.m the last 3 days just so i could get to work and not feel guilty taking necessary naps in the afternoon.
So i was thinking... all these great sales coming in, but no time for fun? Well, the fun starts tomorrow! I get to go and buy a new camera! Yay! A sweet Canon Rebel :) And then head off to a wedding in the afternoon. Fun times.
-I have an endless list of custom order (custom as in VERY time consuming)
-A show this weekend that, again, i am not prepared for.
-16 weeks pregnant!
-But with a cold :(
But i had an amazing weekend! Two of my friends came to visit us this weekend. The three of us, and my husband all taught together in Moscow, Russia, and its been almost a year since i have seen them. We had such a great time together... one arrived from Seattle and the other one from Minneapolis. My friend from Minneapolis had never been on the west coast, so it was a blast showing her around. She really wanted to do Disneyland (hey, she is a first grade teacher), have In-N-Out burger, and touch the Pacific ocean. Easy.
Now they are gone, and i am sitting here working on custom order, and sick as a dog... with no drugs to help me feel better.
The last 14 weeks have been filled with joy and fear because of this little bean. I am so excited, and i am finally able to enjoy every minute of it.
I didn't have my doctors appointment until my 13th week, so we waited until then to tell our friends and family. After our past experience, we wanted to make sure everything was ok.
So this is my little bean, at exactly 13 weeks, see the long legs(on the left)? just like dad.
My best printer broke this week :( I cant even describe the feeling... but thankfully Epson will be replacing it... in 10 business days. I cant wait that long, my business cant sit for over two weeks waiting for a new printer to arrive. So i went shopping for a new printer. I am so excited, its even better than the one i had. But it was not cheap. So because i need a new printer, I am now behind a couple of hundred dollars toward getting a new camera.
I have so much new product that cant wait much longer (you know, i need to keep things fresh at my Etsy shop!) So i got the bright idea of asking a friend to borrow her camera! I know, i should of thought of this sooner, i just figured i would get my sweet new camera soon.
So that is life. New printer, hopefully new camera soon, and new products coming up on my Etsy shop.
